Collagen is a protein made up of long chains of linked amino acids. You can think of it as the "glue" that holds all these things together. In fact, the word comes from the Greek word "kólla," which means glue. Collagen is the body’s most important building blocks of all human tissues and it is crucial to the health of skin cells and body organs. The collagen accounts for up to 70% of the weight of the dermis. It is the key component to give the skin its structure, elasticity and firmness; also to stimulate skin regeneration, replacing dead skin cells and to support healthy skin growth. Sadly, our body’s natural collagen production peaks in our early twenties and slowly declines as we age, by about 1.5% per year. The good news is that consuming collagen has been found to curb this natural decline, so we don’t need to accept skin changes such as wrinkles, sagging, dry and lack luster skin condition as the natural results of an aging body. By consuming collagen supplements, we can regenerate, repair and strengthen the connective tissue. |

The collagen found in our foods is a chain of about 3,000 pieces of amino acids. |
The general collagen supplements in the market which uses peptides, it consists of a chain of about 30 to 100 pieces of amino acids which makes them too big to be absorbed by our intestines and required to go through the decomposition processes even before reaching our intestines. |
Collagen Tri-Peptide (CTP) is the minimum unit size of collagen that can be directly and easily absorbed by our intestines and deposited in our collagen-affiliated organs (skin, bone, cartilage, etc.). Even more amazing, Collagen Tri-Peptide (CTP) has an activation function, which allow the body to produce new collagen and hyaluronic acid to enhance skin elasticity and moisture content beyond comparison. |
